Jon Hopkins has shared a new video for his forthcoming single, We Disappear feat. Lulu James, which was directed by Rob Chiu and stars Lulu James.

We Disappear feat. Lulu James - a collaborative reworking of the opening track from the Mercury-nominated, Immunity - will be available on 12” (RUG595T – pre-order HERE from Dom Mart) and Digital (RUG595D) from 30th June 2014, b/w a remix of Abandon Window by Moderat. You can purchase the one track digitally now through iTunes (RUG595D1).

A fan of Hopkins’ work, and known for her beautifully emotive, atmospheric vocals, it seemed right for rising star, Lulu James, to contribute vocals to We Disappear. The pair met when performing at Unknown Festival in Croatia, then soon after put down vocals at Hopkins' London studio. He then built a new version of the track around James' contributions, and the result is much sparser, and almost Lynchian - darkly atmospheric, pulsing and retaining the urgency of the original, but adding new depth with James' stunningly soulful vocal performance.

Following Jon Hopkins’ extraordinary live performances at The Great Escape, Field Day, Parklife and Sonar, he has just announced a one-off live audio-visual show at The Royal Festival Hall on Friday 19th September. Hopkins will perform new explorations of tracks from Immunity alongside music from his three film scores and other collaborations, and will be joined by long-term collaborator, guitarist and noise-maker Leo Abrahams and experimental string section Geese for a new show backed by visuals from Flat-e and Dan Tombs. Hopkins will also be performing at this year’s Glastonbury and Festival Number 6. Full live dates are as follows, with UK & Irish dates in bold:
