Tremendous news music fans,

We’re thrilled to announce that post punk pioneers of warm minimalism and quiet radicalism, Young Marble Giants along with everyone’s favourite creep-riffed, psychedelic-pop specialists Clinic are to play at this year’s SWN festival in Cardiff from 14th – 16th November.

This is the 2nd year of Huw Stephen’s lovingly curated music festival and we had a great time last year partying with the likes of Eugene McGuinness, Correcto and Sons and Daughters, though ending the evening with lots of drunken photos of people in underpants with red roses in their teeth won’t be repeated...maybe we’ve said too much.

Anyway, the full line up is yet to be disclosed and lots more wonderful bands to be confirmed for sure but to get in early to buy your bargain priced £45 wristband, go straight to

This will surely be a very special show for Young Marble Giants who formed in Cardiff back in 1978. If you’re not so familiar with Young Marble Giants music, you should be slightly ashamed but you should know that their album Colossal Youth was one of Kurt Cobain’s all time favourite albums and they represent for a lot of us what is still pure and untouchable about great independent music.

Check it.
