Today, the NYC-by-way-of-Canada duo known as Bob Moses premiered their brand new track titled “Talk”. The sultry summer smash is now available on iTunes and Spotify and serves as an exciting taster of what’s to come from the talented producer/DJ duo.

Hailed by Consequence of Sound after their incredible set at Movement Festival in Detroit the reputable outlet tipped the duo as having “the ability to establish deep house on an entirely new level.”

Bob Moses - comprised of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance - grew out of the underground electronic dance scene, playing in abandoned Brooklyn warehouses and as part of the Marcy Hotel collective alongside the likes of Soul Clap, Wolf + Lamb and Nicolas Jaar.

Having received their oddball moniker from Francis Harris (the iconoclastic DJ/producer and co-founder of tastemaker label Scissor & Thread) after “urban planner” Robert Moses, their name is a testament to the pair’s DNA being very much entrenched in NYC, where they currently reside.

Last year the duo signed to Domino, who released their most current single titled “First to Cry” and compilation album “All In All” (“a tantalizing precursor to what could well prove to be a stellar future” – Mixmag), marking Bob Moses’ addition to Domino’s maverick stable. “We’re massive fans of Domino artists like Four Tet, Hot Chip and Animal Collective, so it just seemed like a natural home for us,” Vallance says. “We feel lucky to be starting this relationship – it’s a big new world.”

Stay tuned for more exciting news to come.
